Allen “AJ” Gamble joined Lewis & Knopf in 2017 and has advanced through the firm from Intern to Staff Accountant, Manager, and now Principal, effective January 1, 2026.

As a Principal in the Assurance Department, AJ leads audit, review, and compilation engagements for a diverse client base, including school districts, governmental entities, construction companies, manufacturing businesses, and not-for-profit organizations. He provides technical expertise, strategic insight, and hands-on leadership throughout each engagement, with a strong focus on quality, integrity, and long-term client relationships.

AJ is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Michigan and remains actively involved in professional and community organizations. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA). He is also involved with the Genesee Area School Business Officials (GASBO), Michigan School Business Officials (MSBO), and serves on the Michigan Department of Education Referent Committee. In addition, AJ serves as a board member for IMA Brookwood Golf Club.

A graduate of Michigan State University, AJ earned his Bachelor’s degree in 2013 and his Master’s degree in 2014. He credits his parents, mentors, and early accounting educators for inspiring his career path and strong work ethic.

AJ resides in Fenton, Michigan and enjoys supporting Detroit and MSU sports teams, traveling, staying active, and spending time in the Fenton community.
