Kim VanTifflin

Staff Accountant

Kimberly joined Lewis & Knopf in 2022 as a Staff Accountant in the Audit & Assurance department. She assists with compilations, reviews, and audit engagements, serving a variety of clients with a focus on not-for-profit organizations and governmental entities, particularly school districts.

Kimberly brings valuable public sector experience to the firm, having previously served as City Treasurer for four years. In that role, she acted as Chief Financial Officer for the City, planning and directing financial accounting, reporting, and investment functions. This background provides her with a strong understanding of governmental accounting standards, compliance requirements, and operational oversight.

She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Saginaw Valley State University in 2006 and completed her Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Michigan–Flint in 2023. Kimberly is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Alumni Association of the University of Michigan, and holds membership in both Beta Gamma Sigma and Beta Alpha Psi honor societies.

Kimberly is known for being dedicated, motivated, and dependable in her work. She credits her husband, Nathan Van Tifflin, as a strong source of encouragement and support throughout her professional journey.

Originally from Saginaw, Michigan, Kimberly currently resides in Bay City. In her free time, she enjoys reading and gardening.
