Today, we are proud to spotlight Liz Brown, whose involvement with the Flushing Chamber of Commerce reflects her genuine passion for community building and local support.
Flushing Chamber of Commerce – Ambassador
Liz serves as an Ambassador for the Flushing Chamber of Commerce, a role that allows her to welcome new businesses, support community programs, and foster connections throughout the Flushing area.
Reflecting on her experience, Liz shared:
“What I love most about being a Flushing Ambassador is the people and the connections you make. Every time you show up at a Flushing event, you’re instantly made part of the Flushing family. Everyone at the Chamber is so helpful and welcoming.”
As an Ambassador, Liz especially enjoys helping small businesses make important connections—whether she’s networking within the Chamber or directing them to one of L&K’s CPAs when their accounting needs align with the firm’s expertise.
Harvest Fest Committee – Committee Member
In addition to her Ambassador role, Liz serves on the Harvest Fest Committee, one of her favorite volunteer opportunities—especially since fall is her favorite season. The annual Harvest Fest is a beloved tradition for families across Flushing, and Liz helps bring extra fun to the celebration each year.
She and her sisters have become known for dressing up as the Sanderson Sisters, adding a memorable and festive touch that attendees look forward to. Her enthusiasm helps create the welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere the event is known for.
Why She Chose to Serve
Liz’s roots in Flushing run deep—she grew up in the community and graduated from Flushing High School. Wanting to give back to the place that helped shape her, she sought out opportunities to get more involved.
A friend, Olivia from Mr. Chips Windshield Repair and Mr. Chips Cookie Co., encouraged her to connect with the Chamber. After meeting Lesly and the rest of the Chamber team, Liz knew she had found the right place to invest her time:

Years of Service
Liz has proudly served as an Ambassador and Harvest Fest Committee member for the past three years, contributing her time, energy, and passion to strengthening the Flushing community.
