Fenton & Linden Regional Chamber of Commerce – 2025 Chairman
Joel has dedicated nearly a decade to the Fenton & Linden Regional Chamber of Commerce, starting as a committee participant and ultimately advancing to leadership. He has served as Chairman in 2020 and now again in 2025.
He reflects on his experience:
“Serving on the chamber connects me to the business community where I live and work. I’ve built friendships and made meaningful connections, and I enjoy helping with events that bring both businesses and the public together.”
Some signature events from the Chamber include the Taste of Fenton, spotlighting local restaurants, and the annual Business Expo in March, an opportunity for local businesses to showcase themselves and network.
Flint & Genesee Economic Alliance Advisory Board
In addition to his involvement with the Chamber, Joel also serves as a member of the Flint & Genesee Economic Alliance Advisory Board, a post he’s held for about three years.
This board plays a pivotal role in regional economic development, particularly through initiatives like the Advanced Manufacturing District in Genesee County. Joel sees this as a vital way to stay engaged with growth-oriented projects.
“This board keeps me in the loop about business and growth strategies for Flint & Genesee. The Advanced Manufacturing District is particularly exciting, with potential to attract transformative investment to our region.”
Joel was invited to join by Executive Director Tyler Rossmaessler and welcomed the opportunity immediately. While no public events are scheduled, he emphasizes the importance of public awareness and access to accurate information about the development.
